The MJAA’s Joseph Project
A staggering 1.7 million Israelis live below the poverty line, making Israel one of the countries with the highest poverty rates of all the developed nations in the world. And because of terrorism and threats from neighboring nations, much of Israel’s resources are used for national defense. This leaves few social services to help the poor and needy. This is where we make a difference.
The MJAA’s Joseph Project is the number one distributor of humanitarian aid in Israel and has distributed approximately $100 million in aid to Israelis in need. The MJAA collects, ships, and distributes clothing, furniture, household goods, medical supplies and other life-saving aid each year. We distribute this aid through our growing network of over 40 independent relief centers and ministries that proclaim the Good News. We have also partnered with over 100 private and government organizations in Israel. These include the Israel Defense forces, welfare offices, hospitals, shelters, youth facilities, orphanages, rehab centers, computer learning centers, congregations, soup kitchens, nursing homes, and other social service centers where those in poverty go for help. Many government officials consider “The Joseph Project” to be a trusted resource for the people of Israel, because of our abilities, leadership, and track record. Together, we are Jew and Gentile, one in Messiah, working together for the spiritual and physical restoration of Israel.

Who is Hope for Sderot
Hope for Sderot was established in 2008 as a Humanitarian Aid organization to help the people of Sderot. Fourteen years of rocket attacks from terrorists in Gaza have left this small town damaged in so many ways as the people continue to live with the ongoing daily trauma of never knowing when the next rocket will come, or where it will land.
Many, who could afford to leave, have left, taking many of the jobs with them, leaving unemployment and a lack of employment opportunities. For many families that leaves them without enough to eat. For those who have been Injured by the rockets attacks , their ability to work, as well as the physical and mental effects have changed their lives dramatically and will last a lifetime.
With dignity, respect, and unconditional love it is our mission to bring awareness to the plight of the people of Sderot, and help for those who have been injured by Kassam rockets by supplying food, clothing, financial aid, education scholarships and other much needed assistance.
We are not run or operated by any religious organization, nor are we affiliated with any missionary or religious groups. We do, however, welcome and accept donations from anyone who wants to help the residents of Sderot who have been the target of well over 6000 terrorist rocket attacks.
It is reported often that we suffer from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) But that is far from the truth because there is nothing “Post” about the ongoing, daily, 24/7, 365 days a year threat that has been going on for the past 15 years.
Among the worst hurt victims of the past 15 years are the children. For any child born after 2001 they do not know what it is like to live without the sound of “Tseva Adom” piercing the air at all hours of the day and night or the threat of a Kassam rocket coming through your bedroom.
We are a non-profit organization recognized by the IRS as a 501c3 and with a total volunteer staff; we distribute 92% of all donations to the people of Sderot. All donations are tax deductible.
